Hi folks, As we are transitioning from Torque+Moab to a pure Slurm setup I'm trying to wrap my head around how we can implement similar scheduling limits on our x86 systems to the rules we were using with Moab.
One thing that I've found is that GrpCPURunMins, GrpCPUs and GrpJobs are what we are after (GrpCPUs looks like MAXPROCS, GrpJobs looks like MAXJOBS) but I can't see how to set them as default values in slurm.conf. We've got an awful lot of projects (accounts) and hence an awful lot of associations with new ones appearing on a regular basis and we'd much rather set a default in slurm.conf (as we used to in moab.cfg) and only override them when absolutely essential (very unlikely) via sacctmgr. Is that currently possible, and if not, is it an acceptable concept?
