Hi Mike,

All the nodes are spot on with date and time and the hw configuration appears 
correct. The interactive -D -v options gave a few problems that I fixed and 
slurmctld and slurmd start up cleanly now. I get the suspicion there may be  
some inconsistency in the build unless you have some other suggestions.
