I believe I am going to attempt a fresh install with version 14.11.3. Is there a way to un-install the current version I have on the server before I install the new version?

So 14.11 would support 2.6 but not 2.4 so yes, an intermediate upgrade is necessary. If you could afford some downtime it should be possible to "just" do the intermedaite upgrades to the Slurm Database for schema updates (probably best to go 2.4 -> 2.6 -> 14.3 -> 14.11). slurmd and slurmctl then could be upgraded directly. I don't know if it is necessary to make a new config file but if you'd like to use new features you might want to consider starting over with a fresh config.
