See man slurm.conf, PrivateData=cloud option:
Powered down nodes in the cloud are visible.

Quoting Eric Lund <[email protected]>:
Folks,

I am building a cluster around the Elastic Computing Cloud node mechanism to allow sharing of resources with applications that run under a higher level resource manager. Everything works well, except that I have not found a way to "see" cloud nodes that are configured but not "powered on" using sinfo. What sinfo reports is simply that there are zero nodes available.

This makes sense in terms of resource availability (slurm will have to go get some nodes in order to have them) but it is confusing to my users. Is there some way that users can ask sinfo to report on cloud nodes that are powered down?

Eric
