Thank you both for your prompt replies. I will encourage system administrator to install latest openmpi, though I think a slurm upgrade on our busy production cluster will have to wait until there is an outage. Maybe the latest openmpi will be sufficient as suggested.
Just to clarify, so there is no magic that has to happen to get hybrid MPI-openMP jobs to work correctly? E.g. in the slurm config file, does that look ok? Will report back what happens with latest openmpi... Best regards Andy
