Be aware that you cannot upgrade directly from 2.6 to 15.08, it's too big a jump. A version of Slurm only supports the last two minor releases, so 15.08 only supports upgrades from 14.11 and 14.03. You'll need to go to one of those first before going to 15.08. Best of luck!
