Dear all,

I am new in slurm and I am new as a (partially) root as well, I am trying to
set a limit of 8 nodes for each user.
I have already set accounts and users in slurm and I don’t want to use qos.
I already set in slurm.conf AccountingStorageEnforce=limits
I know that a restart of the slurmctld daemon is required (I will do
/etc/init.d/slurm start) after I figure out how to set the nodes limits.
As I said I don’t want to use QOS and I don’t want to limit the number of nodes
per job.
I want to set MaxNodes=8 per user doesn’t matter the number of jobs or the
account or partition.
I would guess
sacctmgr modify user name=all set MaxNodes=8
but Nothing modified came out.

Any suggestion or help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks a lot in advance!
Best regards,
Noelia
