Big off topic tip: Here's a great "update slurm.conf" workflow: 1. Copy new slurm.conf to all nodes 2. Restart slurmctld on head node like this: systemctl restart slurmctrld 3. Still on head node, bump slurmd on all other nodes: scontrol reconfigure Cheers L.
