Hello,
I am testing slurm 17.02 on a linux centOS 6.9 virtual machine with 2 cores.
When I try to issue a simple “salloc –n 1”, I get the error message:
“salloc: error: setgroups: Operation not permitted”

The strange thing is that when I do a “squeue”, the job appears as running and
I have to “scancel” it before I can submit something else…

I would like to know why salloc has to do a “setgroups”.

Any clue is welcome.

Best regards,

Véronique
