FFI is seeking qualified candidates for the following positions based in Ketapang, Kalimantan Barat: Project Team Leader with experience in project management, spatial planning, and stakeholder liaison. The candidate should have at least 7 years of job experience and a strong background in field biology to lead an orangutan conservation status review for Kabupaten Ketapang and facilitate a multi-stakeholder approach to protect orangutan habitat through spatial planning and the development of private - public partnerships with oil palm and forest concessionaires in Ketapang district. B.Sc or preferably M.Sc. in forestry or biology and fluency in English language is required. (Monthly salary range Rp. 5-7 million) GIS/ spatial planning staff with at least 3 years of GIS experience and multi-stakeholder facilitation for spatial planning. The candidate should be capable of using relevant software such as Arcinfo, Arcview, and Mapinfo. B.Sc. in geography or other relevant natural sciences and fluency in English language is required. (Monthly salary range Rp. 4-5 million). Senior biologists (2 staff) with experiences in planning & implementing biological field surveys with strong scientific analysis & writing skills. The candidates should have broad biological survey experience and either profound field experiences in orangutan or ornithological surveys. At least 3 years of job experience and fluency in English language is required. B.Sc. in biology or forestry. (Monthly salary range Rp. 4-4.5 million) Field biologists (3 staff) with biological field survey experience specialized in orangutan, ornithological, herpetological or botanical field surveys. B.Sc. in biology or forestry (Monthly salary range Rp. 2-3.5 million, depending on job experience). The initial contract period is 12 month with possible extensions up to 36 month.
