sbm - when you call 'print' from python, 2 calls to printLog() are getting
called. First call is the line (with newline), second call is simply a
newline. This causes multiple newlines to display. Not sure what's causing
this, could just be a side-effect of redirecting the stdout. Filter these
multiple calls in printLog() until the cause is found.
