Is it possible to have it setup so that all users get sent to the redirection page and a set select mac address bunch get automatically passthroughed and if there mac is not in the system it asks them for a username and password authenticates it, if the mac is not in the system yet it lets them know to contact the office with the Mac address listed on the html have us add his mac to his username.

We use a combination of PPPoE and Hot Spot Login on the Mikrotik for all users.  The business accounts and those with more than a single computer log on with PPPoE using a Linksys BEFSR8 Broadband Router and the single computer users and roamers use the Hot Spot....they get a redirect on their browser to the login page and enter name/password.  Both are authenticated off our radius server.  Works very well.

What are you guys suggesting me for authentication.. ??

I'm new & have not installed any authentication before ??? Please write me a brief intro & which software are needed.

PPPoE ??? Mac adress ??? Secret ??? VPN ???

 

What does smartbridges recommend me ???.
