Yes, I thought resetting to the factory default.  In order to do the power reset, your method is correct.

Ye I think he miss understood what you meant yes just either disconnect the female->male connector on the powershot for a second or pull out the ethernet from the APPO -> POE

Unfortunately this not only resets the APPO but also sets it back to
factory default setting thereby requiring it to be reprogrammed (which may
or may not be a trivial task).  Wouldn't it reset the APPO if the power
were simply removed for a few seconds and then restored?
