I had just recently noticed that I could use the "Dial a power" Feature on the airBridge indoor units after one of the last few FW revisions. When I first got them I could not. What a surprise, I turned several of the down to help stabilize a few glitches. Thanks for turning this feature on, when ever you did it :-)

Subject: RE: [smartBridges] Dial a Power

Dial a Power allows the user to control the radio transmit power of the airPoint from the SimpleMonitor software. Make use of the user interface controls in this Tab to adjust the radio transmit power. Dial a Power facility is available only if you login as Administrator.

This feature is available in all our product range except airNIC & airCarte , however if you see the dial a power is disabled or gray out, either it is set to ETSI Reg Domain or it is old device and has not its memory calibrated for this feature which can be recovered using the recovery utility or simpleDeploy.

I believe as far as I am aware only the pro/outdoor models support it but I'm not 100% sure ill leave that confirmation up to sb.

Hi Group,

I've noticed mention a couple of time of 'dial a power'.  Is it possible to reduce the power output from either the AirNic or AirPoint using software - or is this simply wishful thinking?  I have a link using mesh antennas (20.5dbi) which are too much for the short link.  Before taking them down and getting in lower gain antennas I was hoping I could prove that lower gain will improve the quality by using a software test!
