Hi Robin,

For the IAS radius authentication using airbridge with APPO, please se the following parameters correctly.

  1. Create a new Service name in IAS( ex: SBRADIUS)
  2. In Radius TAB, enter the port no 1812(this port should match with APPO configuration)
  3. In IAS, right click –Clients and select “new client” – enter the name of the service
  4. then enter the APPO IP address and select “radius standard” – enter the shared the secret

Configure the APPO with radius server IP, secret key details.  Then create a user in active directory

Username: MAC address of the wireless client(airbridge)

Password:  MAC address           “

With above settings, it should work now.

Subject: [smartBridges] IAS Radius Authentication

Has anyone used IAS to authenticate users who connect using AirBridge Outdoor as the CPE?  The AP (AirPoint Pro Outdoor) is set to forward radius requests to a certain local IP but I’m not sure if there is special settings that I need to include in IAS to make it work with SB products.   IAS is running on .Net Server 2003 with SQL server for logging.

Thanks,

Robin
