Yes, if the LQ is fluctuating, it is indicating some interference or
noise, and will affect the throughput. Please check if the channel used
is non-overlapping one, Preamble set to Long. Also try to disable WEP to
see the difference.  Have you used simpleSpeed before, any improvement?

Check out the link quality on this screen shot. It varies between 65 &
95%. This radio is the CB up on the hill, connected to the Ranchos A/P
through a switch. It is bridging to an A/P 3 miles away, which is our
POP site for our T-1.

Could this fluctuating LQ be the cause of our speed problem?
