I've played around with the gateway numbers in SimpleNMS:

I've got the following units that I can ping, access via simpleMonitor and
simpleNMS ..even though they have a gateway of 0.0.0.0:

00301a093070 192.168.1.101
00301a00f204 192.168.1.14
00301a00ea3c 192.168.1.205

I still have some units out there that do not ping, but show up in my arp
table. They don't show up on simpleNMS and they don't show up on
simpleMonitor even if I type in the IP. I can ping their router's public
IP address, and their public IP shows up in the arp table with the
bridge's MAC address:

00301A0AB068 192.168.6.11 (airTOTAL)
00301a?????? 192.168.6.53 (airTOTAL)
00301a?????? ???????.6.?? (airBridge Outdoor)

I have no idea what their gateway is set to.

My server's IP is set to 192.168.0.132/255.255.0.0 so I shouldn't have any
problem pinging the device. The airTOTALs simply refuse to show up on any
of my tools (simpleNMS, simpleMonitor), doesn't respond to pings, and
won't show up on the arp table.

I've had this happen to airBridges as well.

The only thing I can think of is that it was programmed by someone using
WinXP and I'm using Win98 & Win2K to try to access it.

Thoughts?

When I get my hands on WinXP, I'm going to play around with it a bit more.
