No, that is pretty easy you just slap the pcmcia in your laptop, install
the drivers and utility and you have a spectrum analyzer (SA) view on your
screen.  Of course this is not a real SA but good enough to give you a
reading on your spectrum.
I could FedEx you a sample card do your tests and return it when you are
done.
