We had taken care of it quite some time ago. There is a timer, I think 1 or 2 minute. So after 1-2 minute of open Ethernet connection the radio will internally refresh the MAC-IP table. At that time we were trying to take care of the usage scenario in a hotel environment (a guest checking out of the room). So the 1 minute timer seemed ok. I can imagine that in this usage pattern the guy is just changing the connection too quickly. A power cycle will take care of the issue. By the way this is normal behavior for my Motorola Cable modem also. It must be power cycled after connecting to another computer. If the client is unplugging his pc and plugging in his laptop, he needs to reboot his radio. This is true for SB but also a host of other manufacturers as well, but not all. Tell the sub to buy a gateway router and he won't have to reboot his radio every time.
