Title: Message
Seems like I remember hearing that SB was working on a "SimpleWatch" program that would monitor a lost link and automatically reboot the radio?

any updates on this? :)

cheers,
Paul

Subject: RE: [smartBridges] RE smartBridges] New features?

A watchdog would be nice like the axxelcera stuff that if its down for 5 minutes no association she resets also SMARTBRIDGE is there confirmation of the units... SLEEPING? As was previously mentioned I have noticed that sometimes and wasn't sure if it was signal or the unit itself but I recall them saying they saw a MIB value for sleeping.

"You're wanting to communicate with a radio that won't associate? Isn't that
like talking to a person that can't hear you?"

Not at all.  The feature would be useful where you have, for example, an
APPO connected to an AirBridge in a location where access is not that easy.
Should one side of the link go down, you can often get in via the other side
and it is then that the ability to power cycle the naughty unit would be
very useful.

"simpleMonitor has a reset button that will do the job"

Thanks for that one, should have thought of it myself!  I'll give it a try
next time it happens.

Peter
