[smartBridges] link budget questions

Hi All,

couple of quick questions (which i'm sure there will be many various 
answers to) :

what do you consider to be a "safe" system operating margin?

do you add any cable/connector loss for an airbridge indoor with antenna 
directly attached?

are there any hidden tricks about calculating the reciever's antenna gain 
when calculating link budget?  (basically any "do's" or "dont's")

I've been trying to plan out links and do the math, but often the math is 
way different than the actually results.
