More than likely the best you are going to get at Radio Shack is 24V, but that will work fine.  The PowerShot will handle more than that.  A 24v @ 1A wall wart should do the job just fine.  Please, do make sure that the cord is wired correctly.  When you apply power in the wrong polarity it tends to let the smoke out of components and the components are not warranted against losing smoke due to improper polarity

Correct me if I’m wrong but that is like 328 Feet.  You should only run CAT5 300 feet at the most and that’s when your not running power over Ethernet.  I would look for a 18V power supply.  I think you can purchse them at radio shack.

Subject: [smartBridges] AirPoint-Pro Outdoor

Hi,

I just purchased my first Airpoint Pro Outdoor – Powered it up fine on my desk.

Just got down from installing on my tower – I have 100Metres of CAT5 and now no power is arriving at the unit?

Is this because I am using the standard 12V AC Adapter and because of the extra cable length now need 15V. There is a note in the booklet suggesting that this is best but I am not sure if it is a MUST

Any advice?

Regards
