You are preaching to the quire (sp?) for standards compliance. If you notice, we use 802.11b protocol and moving to .g, .a etc. Even many of our development tools and underlying technologies are standards based.
A lot of times it is tempting to make something proprietary. We try to resist and stay the course. Stay cool. The oncoming light is the end of the tunnel, not another train.
