I think ill stick with the faceplate seems to be very expandable and now saying your switching to surface mountable boxes im a very happy wifi customer, Because every house down here is solid concrete poured in bricks (although sometimes its rocks inside the concrete very tricky to pull cat5 through this any suggestions for faster installations in places like this anyone?)

I can't wait to see the actual product and do a test install with it then I will know if its practical to start using everywhere, as for the grounding... on old units what would be the best practice when we're talking about this shilded cat5 up to the old radio and then lugged to the poeo and then the ground wire down to earth?

If you don't want to install the face plate. You can drill a hole, run
both CAT5 and RJ11 cables straight into the outside unit.

Ok. But you said that you could do the power on the cat5 to the
outside ?

Also WHY would I want to run TWO cables to the outside when ONE has
enough cable pairs ??
