When I
run simpleMonitor on airBridge Total, the EIRP reading flashes VERY quickly in
the application's status bar.
Being
in the UK, I presumed it would be 20dB but it reads 13.2dB - approx 7dB
short of the 20dB ETSI maximum. The Dial-A-Power tab is disabled so there
is now way of checking antenna and power settings.
I
changed the default region to FCC to enable the D-A-P tab, only to find the
antenna selected was a 2.2dB - not the 9dB as per the specs so that
explains where the 13.2dB came from.
Is
this 2.2 antenna the default antenna setting for Total products? If so, it
explains why the RSSI and LQ are not as good as they should be at certain
ranges. My aPPT is the same. Will changing it to a custom 9dB
and setting power meter to 20dB affect the radio in anyway?
