Sb has no problems with amps they work fine in fact all my sites have 250mw TT amps to compensate for cable and connector loss. The fact is planning is a necessary factor in any good deployment.
SNR is the same if properly done but the signal will be above the necessary bottom end dropoff of radios to connect in my view.
Remember when radios increase signal they increase noise but they do it equally. Hence the SNR is the same but the signal db is increased to an acceptable range. But just use it sparingly and when needed. It can be a asset or a liability.
