Here is my set-up

Internet -> Mikrotik -> Switch1  - appo1(wb) - appo2(wb) - switch2 - appo3(ap)
- abo
                                        |
 |__ appo4(ap)- appo5(repeater) -abo
                                        |
                                        |____appo6(ap) - abo
                                        |
                                        |____appo7(wb) -appo8(wb) - switch3 -
appo9(ap) - abo

Radios have static IP addresses in 172.26.0.0/16

Clients get "static dhcp" in range 10.0.0.1-254/24

Everyone is NAT'ed at Mikrotik box - which also does bandwidth throttling and
dhcp assigning (until I can setup PPPOE as has been suggested on the list.)

All of the radios have the gateway address set as the 172.26.0.1 which is on
the mikrotik box at the "head end".

appo(wb) = airpoint pro outdoor in wireless bridge mode
appo(ap) = airpoint pro outdoor in access point mode
appo(repeater) = airpoint pro outdoor in repeater mode

abo = airbridge outdoor = clients (between 1 and 9) per ap

When I plug my laptop into switch2 - I can only "see" (using appo simple
monitor) the three appos that are plugged into that switch. I am using the
same ip range as the radios are.But if I power cycle the backhaul (appo2) - I
can "see" (in simple monitor) all of the radios on my network FOR 1 to 2
minutes (which I call MAGIC TIME) ... Then I can't get them to come up in
simple monitor any more.

Question: Does this have something to do with the period of time that the
radios can have the ip address set by using arp -s xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
aa:bb:cc:dd:ee:ff???? Is there anything I can do to have all my radios
visible from all points on the network? It would make it easier for
monitoring If I could "see" the radios at the other end of the network.

Everything works otherwise, and since nothing is "broken" I submitted this to
the list, instead of to smartBridges support. Alternatively, it might be
settings on my Mikrotik box, or in my (used Cisco) switches.

Any opinions or advice would be appreciated. TIA

Erik
