Hi Mike,

When you set authentication type to “External radius server”, internal MAC table will not be in effective and no need to clear the internal MAC table. To make use of the full functionality of the radius authentication, we recommend you to use the firmware 1.4j.8 and above with simpleMonitor 1.60.

Thank you

Subject: [smartBridges] Radius Auth Unusual Behavior

I have two appo with the .j firmware.

1. put a mac address in internal table. auth works properly

2.  change the mac in internal table to invalid value.

3.  set to radius auth pointing to a radius server.

4.  turn off radius server

5.  change appo channel and click reset, client dis-associates.

6.  client re-appears within seconds?  Radius server is off.

Does internal table have to be empty?  Remember, a valid mac is not in the table.
