The internal antenna is 13dB gain. Typicaly 13dB antennas have about a 30 degree beam. But the beam of the antennas has nothing to do with the range, except gain and beamwidth are related. In order to calculate range you need to know what is on both sides. We have a path calculator on our web site at www.ecommwireless.com or Smartbridges has on on their site too. The range will also vary greatly depending on what speed you are looking for since the sB radios have almost 10dB difference in receive sensitivity between 11Mbps and 1Mbps.
If you are using the aPPT as an access point then the antenna is likely to be a bit narrow beam for most applications. Mike B Electro-comm P.S.
