So far so good.  After replacing all of my bad chipset stuff, only one unit continued to lose association (although not as often).  Since upgrading the firmware on that unit (aB) about 1.5 weeks ago, it hasnt lost association once (at least not without regaining it quickly).

Thanks sB!

Subject: [smartBridges] Feedback on Beta Firmware 1.4j9 (airPointPro) and 0.01.08 (airBridge)

Hi all,

As you already aware, we have beta firmware for the airBridge as well as the airPointPRO series to address occasional disassociation. The firmware has the watchdog feature in built into it, a timer which will reset the unit under certain conditions, this will ensure that the link is up most of the time unless there is some physical damage to the device. This was after many have reported that a simple power cycle, software reset or refresh in the site survey will establish back the connection.

This firmware is currently under beta testing and we have got a positive feedback, looking for more responses from customers before we do a final release. Anyone who has tested thoroughly and can produce the report in details on the observation (comparing the beta and current firmware, pre or post-june units) will get a token of appreciation.  It is given away while stock last.

If you have any airBridge or airPointPro (in client bridge, repeater or wireless bridge mode) that exhibit the above symptom, you are welcome to test the beta firmware below by clicking the firmware link.
