I have an install next week for a customer that requires a 250 foot run between his Home and the Antenna/Radio (aBO) site. I reviewed the "Ideal Installation Guide" which says we should use a 15 Volt to 18 Volt regulated supply for this distance. I understand the ideal product for this would be the new PoE Outdoor but it is not available from Electro-comm until early November.
I found a unit on the mouser.com web site that seems to meet the required specs. The unit is part number 418-TR2518-12. This is a 25W Switching Adapter by Cincon, 18 Volts, 1.4 Amps and a 2.5 mm plug which is center positive. It looks like the polarity of the adapter will need to change to support the power shot. Has anyone found a power supply that is similar but has a 2.5 mm plug which is Center Negative? This would allow the supply to plug directly into the power shot without modifications. Has anyone had success finding one?
