Does anyone have any of the UPS backups made by APC the rack mount models I.e 600-1000 models with a network card installed in them? I just recently had the apc-1000 unit take out and explode the batteries inside due to either heat or over charging. When it happend I was able to log in still and check the internal temp and it saod 170*? Well I got the balls to put in some other batteries and fire it up this week and it appears to be okay but the temp after a while went up to 109* until I took the lid off to let it cool.
In the evenigns late late alsmots morning it cools down to about 80* but right now at 5pm its at 103*?? does anyoen know if this is normal I have it outside in the garage which today was a normal 80 temp day? Do you think outside heat had something to do with it overheating possibly and taking out the batteries?
