Do you use the following scenario?

1. APPO(NOC)………aBO__Router(DHCP)__switch____Client pcs

                                                DHCP ------à

With the above scenario, the airbridge supposedly connected to the WAN port of the router and the client PCs (DHCP clients) should be connected to the router’s switch.

I am using 11.1.1.x for the the SB devices and then my DHCP clients get 195.168.x.x.

I found the problem though.  It was router being used as a switch for a repeater site.  The DHCP was not turned off and it send me pulling my hair out.

I am not sure there is a way to prevent a customer from plugging in their bridge into the router's switch with dhcp turned on.

Are the DHCP ranges of IP address as same as the airBridge IP address? Please do not use the default DHCP ranges of IP addressing and use the cutomized IP addressing(private) for the DHCP.

Kind regards,

I had a client plug the bridge into a Belkin router and switch and turned on DHCP.  It caused ip conflicts and shut down a lot of people.  What do you guys do to prevent this?

Also what firewalls are you guys using.
