Thanks for providing
the information. I believe there must be some misunderstanding here about the
unit being mishandled requesting for RMA from Wav. Nevertheless, this need
investigation and we will talk to Wav to understand their reasoning on
this.

Subject: Re: [smartBridges] WAV On-Line
Issues
Dennis,
Thank you for posting
this! It is always good to know which distis you can trust and which
ones you cannot. I will not by from WAV because of your
experience.
There is also another disti familiar with many on this
list. I dealt with them once -and only once. Currently, they are
"correcting" the problem they created. If all goes well, I will strike
this up to one salesperson's bad move. If I get anymore problems from
them, I will be posting their name on this site as well.
Money talks
and when distis start pulling $hit, we should start pulling our money.
Separately we may all be small, but collectively we are a large
industry.
Kind regards,
Sevak

I just wanted to
tell everyone about the trouble I have recently gotten about a ABI that I
RMAed to WAV.
I
sent the unit in because sometimes the ethernet light would not come on the
unit and no communcation would take place. I could not seach the ABI nor type
in its IP and log into it.
After
a guy named "Roger" looked at the unit, even though he can not take the ABI
apart, he said that since the RJ45 jack on the back of the ABI moved slightly,
it was mishandled and bad. Furthermore, that we had mishandled the
Powershot cause it had a wire broken inside the Powershot.
Our
sales rep, Mark Chamerlik, called SmartBridge and told him that he was trying
to get a unit RMAed for a customer. He said that the powershot had
a broken wire, and that the RJ45 on the back of the ABI moved slightly.
After some converstation with smartbridge, Mark ended up turning the call to
"Rodger". He then explained that the Powershot was miss handled, and
there were some scraches on the ABI so it was abused and the RJ45 jack
was broke. He told them that he would not RMA the unit, and gave the the
serial number, and said not to RMA this unit.
I
have not contacted SmartBridge as of yet about this issue, but I WILL NOT be
buying from WAV On-Line anymore. After the small converstion with
"Rodger", it seamed more like, he wanted to FIND reasons not to RMA the
unit.
All I can say is, DO NOT buy from WAV!
