Wait until I have the Rootenna14 in stock.
No nema box, no compressing fitting, no rpsma, not sure what you use
the 2-hole strap and the hex head screws for.
14dB panel all for ~$50.
Labor ~5min to open up the rootenna to put in your radio and screw on
the pigtail. Then ready to deploy. ;)

TWN> (1) ABI - $145
TWN> (1) NEMA Box - $13.00
TWN> (2) compression fittings - $1.60
TWN> (1) RPSMA - $4.00
TWN> (1) 2-hole strap - $.30
TWN> (2) Hex head screws - $.50
TWN> (1) Maxrad 13db panel - $40.00
TWN> ---------------------------------
TWN> Total = $204.00 + 40 minutes total labor
TWN> ----------------------------------
TWN> The above items are over and above a normal install which also requires the
TWN> stuff like Mast, cable, etc. I am not using those figures for comparison
TWN> because I will still need them for the aBT.
TWN> -----------------------------------

TWN> (1) aBT = $250 + 10 minutes total labor

TWN> -----------------------------------

TWN> BTW...the labor times I refer to are the initial config time prior to
TWN> installation (burning in settings, mounting to antenna mast, cutting the
TWN> CAT5 to length, etc).

TWN> The install time is about 1.5 hours - 3 hours. I pay my installer flat fee
TWN> of $100.00 per install.

TWN> One more reason I had decided to do this a long time ago was that the
TWN> outdoor line of sB radios had the hard-wired 50ft of CAT5. That made it a
TWN> PAIN IN THE ASS to R&R the units. But...now that has been solved as well.

TWN> I will be moving over to the aBT as soon as my supplies run out (I have
TWN> about 20 more RPSMAs and compression fittings).

TWN> Sully congrats on the new arriving installer ;-) I think we figured the
TWN> difference between the ABO and the ABI was $90
TWN> It cost us about $8 in connectors $5 in lmr 400 cable, $51 for the ant and
TWN> $11 for the nema box.

TWN> Total of $223 for everything
TWN> and the ABT is what $249? so difference to us would be HMMM $26!!!!!!!!!!!
TWN> wow you have enlightened me ;-)

TWN> I will start ordering those! are they going to due away with them anytime
TWN> soon? and I think the new ones come with the N connector on them now if I am
TWN> not mistaken??

TWN> If so how do you disable the internal ant of you use an external one?

TWN> Only until my supplies run out. I have been building my own outdoor stuff
TWN> for months now.

TWN> 2 reasons:
TWN> 1. Cheaper
TWN> 2. Easier/Cheaper to R&R (4 screws on the NEMA box and that's it)

TWN> However...now with the price break on the aBo-Total, it brings the price
TWN> difference (mine vs. aBo-Total) down to just $48.00.

TWN> My unit (including the aB) took me 40 minutes to configure. The aBo-Total
TWN> only takes 10 minutes.

TWN> So...I am now changing back. Time is money...and I aint got NO time!
TWN> Especially with a baby on the way in just 5 weeks!!!!

TWN> Ya...I am thinking of cutting up a bunch of these black cables that come
TWN> with the sB products. I don't always use them...so I have a bunch laying
TWN> around.

TWN> Just wondering if I could get my hands on the little cross-over connectors
TWN> for cheap? Not to mention simple.

TWN> You need the for tour siemens routers right?
TWN> I think you would be better off buying 100 crossover cables.
TWN> For the ones I had I took a bunch of the extra cables I had layings around
TWN> and cut then in half and made them crossover cables.

TWN> used to ship with their aP's and aPPo's??

TWN> Preferably dirt cheap.  (-;
