Instead of using queues you can also use the customer's setup in
the PPP secret area. That is, if you are using PPTP or PPPoE to
authenticate clients. We've set up several profiles in the PPP screen
and then assign each user "secret" entry to the appropriate profile.

It gets a little more complicated if you are using RADIUS for authentication
and HotSpot isn't an easy one to specify speed either through RADIUS.
But MikroTik stuff is great. Gotta love it.

Subject: [smartBridges] MikroTik Bandwidth Queues

Hello again,

We recently got a MikroTik router setup on our network, and have loved
it thus far. One thing we want to be able to do with it is obviously
Bandwidth Throttling.

I have read through the documentation about Queues and Data Rate Management.
However I have not seen any information for throttling an individual alone
without creating a global throttle rule for the interface (network segment).

Is this possible?

We are using masquerading (nat) and I have read the instructions indicating
we need to us IP Mange for managing upload traffic.

Please help me out in any way you can,
