The primary Port has no effect on the user traffic and will NOT slow ping times! The Primary Port is important for itself ONLY to obtain the DHCP lease (in DHCP mode) correctly or route to the default gateway through the right interface – Wireless or Ethernet. Most of the typical setup, the AP’s Primary Port is Ethernet (facing the NOC or POP) and the CPE (airBridge) or repeater will be Wireless. Please refer to this FAQ on the definition and the example - http://www.smartbridges.com/new/support/faq_ab.php#117

Excellent thanks we have all our APPO's setup incorrectly then.  Does this cause problems?

Primary port is the port facing you gateway.

APPO Primary Port?

Hello again,

What do most of you users set the Primary port to on your APPO's?

Ours our set to Wireless and I am not sure if this even matters.

Thanks,
