I'm not subscribed to the list, so please CC me if needed. As requested in the USB support wiki page, I'm reporting failure to work with the JMS539 SuperSpeed SATA II 3.0G Bridge chip in the Sharkoon 5-bay RAID Station[0], even though supposedly the same chipset works a lot better in the 5-bay RAID box[1].
Tested with smartmontools v6.3:
