The build scripts for which are here: https://github.com/bahamas10/chef-standalone
I added support for builds that will work in the global zone. Non-gz builds depend on pkgsrc. The gz build is completely independent of pkgsrc by relocating libssp.so and libgcc_s.so to /usr/lib/amd64 and doesn't link against gmp (so it runs a little bit slower). -- Brian Bennett Systems Engineer, Cloud Operations, Joyent, Inc. 655 Montgomery St., Suite 1600 | San Francisco | California | 94111 [email protected] | www.joyent.com office 415-400-0645 | mobile 619-663-IPv6 > On Apr 10, 2015, at 9:20 PM, Bryan Horstmann-Allen <[email protected]> > wrote: > > Dave Eddy also posted some of his work the other day: > > http://us-east.manta.joyent.com/bahamas10/public/chef-standalone/index.html > > "Tarballs that contain a standalone installation of Ruby and Chef in /opt/chef > for easy installation on the SmartOS operating system.
