I made that mistake a while back. Filip Hajny helped me by getting me
to  . . . . 

try pkg_delete -f openssl

Worst case you can always `rm -rf /opt/local/pkg/openssl-`.

Then re-add:

pkg_add openssl

It worked for me anyway.
