If you don't need to see the graphics and just need the application up as a
service, you can run it using Xvfb. I've done that before for graphical
programs that I want to run in batch mode across a simple telnet or ssh without
X11 forwarding.

something, so that's my backup plan. But would prefer the performance and
DTrace availability in LX zones.
