Hi, I have a rented server with SmartOS pre-installed and no remote console access (Kimsufi). Therefore I cannot reinstall SDC.
But SDC is basically SmartOS plus a number of service zones and some agents in the global zone. Recent SDC images should contain the exact same SmartOS image that is also distributed separately, AFAIK. I would like to use Docker, wich is integrated with SDC if I understand correctly. Is it possible to somehow install SDC on top of an existing, virgin (no VMs/zones configured) SmartOS installation? I am not trying to preserve anything from the SmartOS install except the networking config since I have to do this remotely via an SSH connection. Any ideas?
