Second question: the budget and hardware permits only one SSD, which I'm using
for both log and cache. What's your stand on this - I did a lot of reading, but
didn't get a clear picture of how bad it is...
If you are running KVM VMs, use the SSD as a log device. You don't say
what SSD type you have, but if you are running anything you can't afford
to loose, it should have power failure protection.
