Maybe I'm thinking about this wrong. I presently have a connection to my SmartOS server connected to a nic and that is connected to a physical switch. I've already moved my LAN switch to a bridge on my SmartOS server and that is working great. Next I want to remove the physical switch and thought this would work: # dladm show-linkLINK CLASS MTU STATE BRIDGE OVERrge0 phys 1500 up brTEST --brTEST0 bridge 1500 up -- rge0 switch2switch2 etherstub 1500 up brTEST --net0 vnic 1500 ? -- switch2 But I lost connectivity to the gateway. When the nic_tag was "admin" it worked, but I assumed (it looks, incorrectly) that attaching the zone to "switch2" was all that I needed. What is my mistake?
