That was quite a while ago, regarding VMS, I first used VMS back in
~94-5 something like that so I could compile my Ada assignments (not a
joke).
I currently, work with a former pro-Ada programmer who still thinks
the world of it and I can't remember much at all about it.
FWIW I've got VAX/VMS running under the SimH emulator in a SmartOS zone,
albeit I haven't yet figured out how to get it to talk to the network.
The next logical step from there is to get one of the Alpha (which
superseded VAX) emulators working on SmartOS, probably via an LX zone
for starters.
