Hello, I'm trying out SmartOS, explicitly using the following image for an
apache zone:
12d50dd0-27a5-11e4-bcda-13716a62b193 apache 14.2.0 smartos
2014-08-19T13:31:05Z

I also have another MySQL zone, setup using the following standard64 image:
3f57ffe8-47da-11e4-aa8b-dfb50a06586a standard64 14.2.1 smartos
2014-09-29T13:12:19Z

I've tested mysql connectivity from the apache zone to the standard64 zone, and
verified it's working on the command line. But when I try to put up a Moodle
installation, which uses mysqli to connect to the mysql server running on the
standard64 zone, I get the following error:

"Error: database driver problem detected
The site administrator should verify server configuration
PHP has not been properly configured with the MySQLi extension so that it can
communicate with MySQL. Please check your php.ini file or recompile PHP. MySQLi
extension is not available for PHP 4."

I'm using dbtype mysqli and dblibrary native.
Pkgin list shows that I do have both php-mysql and php-mysqli packages
installed:
php55-mysql-5.5.14 PHP extension for MySQL databases
php55-mysqli-5.5.14 PHP5 extension for MySQL 4.1 and later databases

PHP is also working within apache as I do have phpinfo working.

Any tips to troubleshoot?

Thank you,
Mathew Gancarz
