Hi Ian, I could give up but I don't want to. ;) There is a specific reason why I'm expecting that this card should work: https://github.com/joyent/illumos-joyent/commit/6ab6198a2608e8eaad25952200629bdcea12eb51 It seems that Robert Mustacchi produced a patch specifically to enable (among others) this chip. His work isn't included (yet) in illumos-gate: https://www.illumos.org/issues/3446 My mail is an implicit (and now is explicit) help request to Robert. ;)
