You could use ifconfig from the GZ to bring down the interface from
within a zone:

zlogin <uuid> ifconfig net0 down

I usually use "ipadm down-addr -t <addrobj>" from within a zone. I just tried this with zlogin and managed to bugger up the zone (couldn't zlogin to or reboot the zone) for a while, so take care.


Or, possibly use dladm set-linkprop to change the 'state' to up or down.

state is read only.
