I assumed that SmartOS still had the same strategy, but today I saw some strange things happening.

While a colleague was pushing our 1GB switch to the limit by transferring data to and from some no-SmartOS systems, our SmartOS server suddenly suffered data connection losses between zones.

We always separate webservers and their database in different zones. And I see my webservers lost connection to the MySQL database servers running on the same host but different zones.


If the connection between the database and the front end is private, I would use an ethersub for the connection.

Dlstat reports:
