Now, having said that, when you say through put, what are you measuring? Is it packets per second out of the interface? Or into the interface? Or something somewhere else?
The measurement is from outside the node using iperf -c <vm ip> -t 30 In the VM I start iperf -s (Version: 2.0.5, Release> 11.el6, Architecture: x86_64)
Are these "vms" using kvm or are they rather native or lx branded zones?
The iperf-server runs in a KVM type VM running Centos 7.1.1503, image uuid d8e65ea2-1f3e-11e5-8557-6b43e0a88b38.
